Fei lai Feng


A well-known legend tells that an Indian monk named Huili arrived in the valley 1,600 years ago and was surprised to see a peak so distinct from any other one in the valley. He believed that the peak had been moved from India because the shape was common with that of India.
 
The mountain is a pure limestone mountain with a height of 168 meters. For the long term erosion by groundwater, the mountain formed various distinct caves. Besides, there are about 330 stone Buddhist statues kept in the mountain which were carved between the 10th to the 14th centuries.
