East Lake
Located in the east of Shaoxing, the lake was famous from Qin dynasty (221 B.C-207 B.C.). Since Han dynasty, local people came to its nearby mountain and exploit the stone. After thousands years, the mountain became steeply and sharply which seemed naturally shaped.
The lake features the deep caves, serene pools, elegant pavilions and towers, stone arched bridges. You can walk along the pathway up to the top or take a leisurely boat in the lake.
