Cang Qiao Street
Located in historic street of Yuezi city and east side of Fushan hill, Cangqiao street is featured by traditional buildings, combining with accommodation, business and tourism as a whole. It consists of watercourse, local residence and flagstone street.
Cangqiao street begins the Victory West Road in the north and ends Lu Xun’s Road West in the south, with a total length of 2.2 km which runs through many traditional bridges, such as Cangqiao bridge, Longmun Bridge, Baozhu Bridge, Fu bridge, Shimen bridge, Jiuwu Bridge, Xiguan bridge, Huangyi bridge. Each side of the river course stands the traditional residences which was built in late Qing dynasty and represented the character of ancient architectures and customs. In September 2003, Cangqiao street won the great honor of "United Nations Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards," and was considered as " The living exhibition site of Chinese heritage."
