Yonghegong Lama Temple

 

    Located in northeast of Beijing, Yonghegong Lama Temple was the original palace of a famous prince in Qing Dynasty. In 1744 A.D., it changed into  Lama temple and was considered as the Temple of Emperor.


    With a complex of Han, Manchu, Mongolian and Tibetan style, Yonghegong Lama Temple is a characteristic religious building in China. It consists of 5 sections and affiliated houses on each side. All the main halls are on the same axis in the middle. It is a good place to know the temple in China.
