Tian Ning Temple
Tian Ning Temple was built in the reign of Yong hui in Tang Dynasty between 650 ¨C 655 A.D with a history over 1,300 years. The temple was destroyed five times for the natural disasters or wars, but was rebuilt afterwards. The site was served both a Buddhist temple and a monastery. During the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qing Long visited the temple for several times.
The temple is actually a construction complex inclusive of 497 rooms, 33 Buddhist halls, and 24 pavilions. The largest Buddhist hall is 25.8 meters high, 26.4 meters wide and 28 meters long, covering an area of 1,031 sq. m. At present, there are 127 well-preserved sculptured statues.
