Located in Sichuan Province, the history of Emei Mountain has been recorded for over 2,000 years, during which time a rich Buddhist cultural heritage has accumulated.
At top the Golden Summit, which is 3,099 meters high, one can enjoy the sunrise, seas of clouds, the Buddha s halo and the sunset glow. It is the highest one among all the famous sight-seeing mountains in China. In addition in Golden Summit there are four spectacles, clouds sea, sunrise, Buddha rays and saint lamps. In 1996 Mt. Emei was enlisted in the world natural and cultural heritage by the UNESCO. |

Itinerary
Day 1
Fly from Shanghai to Chengdu, meet the local guide and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is free, while the guide is available for information and city tours if needed.
Day 2 （B, L）
Drive to Mt. Emei. On the way, take a visit at Leshan Giant Buddha, the world's largest Buddha statue with a height of 71m(233feet). Then drive to Mt. Emei, visit Fuhu Temple then check in the hotel at Emei.
Day 3 （B, L）
After breakfast, take the cable car up to Mt. Emei, visit some of the Buddhist temples, say hello to monkeys here and there, reach the Golden Summit, with the height of 3,099 m(10,103 feet). The trees are verdant almost all the year round; the waterfalls are splendid; the whole scenery is beautiful and quiet.
Drive back to Chengdu in the afternoon(3 hours), fly back to shanghai. |
