The word Bon-sai is Japanese, however the art it describes originated in the Chinese empire. As the home for classical gardens in China, Suzhou is one of the earliest birthplaces of Bonsai art. For being the main school of Bonsai in China, it is proud of the long history, unique traditional technique, natural style, colorful production effect and enjoys its high praise far and wide due to its early introduction into Japan, Southeast Asia,Europe and America. |

Itinerary:
9:00 Departure from Shanghai, drive to Suzhou (1.5 hours).
10:30 Arrive at Tiger Hill, visit the scenic area and follow the Bonsai Master to have Bonsai learning tour, then visit the Leaning Pagoda.
12:30 Lunch.
14:00 Old town of Suzhou — walk on the Pingjiang Old Street.
15:00 Visit the No.1 Silk Factory of Suzhou.
16:00 Drive back to shanghai.
Tour highlights：
1. Tiger Hill Bonsai Garden: A collection of over 500 Bonsai works is on display with 90% of them are national treasures. The oldest Bonsai tree is over 300 years old.
2. Bonsai Master gives lectures about Bonsai history and art as well as shows the techniques on growing, cultivating, training and caring of Bonsai trees.
3. "Leaning Tower of Pisa" in China — Built in 961, leaning 2.34 meters to north, the ancient pagoda is considered as the symbol of Suzhou.
