Itinerary
Day 1 Shanghai-Jixi County. Overnight on train.
Late in this afternoon, departure from Shanghai to Jixi County by night train and spend overnight on the train(Soft berth).
Day 2 Jixi County-Ancient Merchant Road hiking. Stay in Local Village Inn(B/D)
Upon arrival at Jixi County, meet the local guide at Jixi Railway Station. After breakfast, drive to the Yuchuan and start the hiking tour. We will walk along the ancient merchant road, passing by the No.1 gate of South of Yangtze River, Lower Xuetang, Upper Xuetang, Blue Sky Hollow, Qingliang peak and Ronglai village. On the way, besides the fascinating landscapes, we can see some well-preserved houses for hundreds years old, as well as the friendly farmers.
Lunch on the way.（Food taken by your own）.
Check-in at the village inn. Dinner is arranged afterwards.
In the evening, upon the weather conditions, we will participate in the interesting campfire activities（on clear night, group size over 5 pax）or the meaningful local family-visiting, get to know the legends and sagas of the village and the renowned ancient merchant road.
Day 3 Qingliang Peak- Huangshan City-Shanghai （B/L/D）
This morning, you can get up a little late. After breakfast, we will leave the picturesque village, get down the mountain from another way and reach the assembling site. Then, we will head for the downtown of Huangshan city.
Lunch in the village on the hiking way.
In the afternoon, you are free to explore on the Tunxi ancient street which had prospered since Song Dynasty. Now, it is famous for its traditional old buildings, antique, craft shops and souvenir stores. You will have time to explore on your own.
Farewell dinner in the city.
After dinner, drive to the Huangshan Railway Station. Return by train and arrive at Shanghai the next morning. |
